Petals (2024) 📽️

In this void where nothing else exists, I cling to you, but your stillness is as vast as the emptiness surrounding us.
Rose petals fall slowly from the darkness above, each one a fragile reminder of the moments I failed to protect, the words I failed to say.
They land softly between us, yet their presence is heavy—laden with the shame and guilt that have built walls I can no longer break through.

I hold on, desperate to feel what was once there, but now only the silence echoes between us.
The petals strike us both, but only I feel their weight.
They fall upon my skin, upon yours, but only I am left with the sting of remorse.
I created this distance, and now all I can do is stand in it, holding onto you while the bond we once shared slips further away.

Each petal carries the weight of a lost chance, a missed opportunity to make things right, and I am left to confront the unbearable truth—
that the damage is done, and the emptiness between us grows with every passing moment.

The more I hold on, the more the shame consumes me, knowing my touch no longer reaches you.
